Mental wellbeing: back to basics.

Michael Pollan distilled his vast knowledge of nutrition and food into this simple piece of wisdom: “Eat food, not too much, mostly plants.”

Steve Cotter, a renowned physical fitness coach, was once asked how to build strength. He replied: “Pick up something heavy and carry it around for a while.”

With so much advice being shared and products being sold to us, sometimes we just need to get back to first principles thinking.

We can ask ourselves: What is the basic essence of this?

I’d love to do this for mental health & wellbeing, a topic that is often made inaccessible, over-complicated and packaged into products.

Maybe something like: “Be still. Pay attention. Repeat.”
