“I am complete….. (sort of)” Underneath our bravado, personal growth can be an affront to our ego. Outwardly, to others, we often want to show a complete, shiny, flawless version of ourselves. To grow and change, we must believe that we are capable of being greater, but this doesn’t need to be in conflict with who we are now. We can, and should, believe in our unique strengths now. And we can hold this belief whilst also believing that we have the capacity for improvement. Learning is about having confidence in a future self, one that will be more than we are today, one that we will be proud of. Believing that and taking full responsibility for your own growth is a bold act of leadership.
