When we talk about strength, we often talk about ‘showing’ strength and ‘being’ strong.
This is a notion of strength that is asserted. Strength that is focussed outwards.
We see it in individuals, groups, organisations and even nations.
True strength starts inside, just as an oak tree grows by having strong roots, and an office building is strong because it has solid foundations.
We can work on our own roots and foundations, like ongoing maintenance.
An addition here or there, a removal of something no longer needed, a bit of extra fuel for growth and health.
Inside strength is the result of inner work – the work we can all do alongside the rest of our lives.
