On my weekend run, there’s a corner I can take to do the same overall distance but finish with a hill. Or I can take a later corner and avoid the hill. It’s freezing and windy. I want to be at home in the warm.

We’re on the way to returning to normal. But what does normal mean for you?

We each create for ourselves an identity. A construct that allows us to define who we are – or who we think we are. Groups often do the same: families, friends, organisations, and countries. We create an artifice that we feel allows us to become more relatable and more understandable. In fact, it does the opposite.

We started our men’s Circles seven weeks ago, a journey partly into the unknown, but with a simple intention: to create a space for men to have more expansive conversations. This is what we’ve discovered so far.
