Our first instinct is not to be uncaring.
Our natural impulse is to be curious, to care, to have an interest, to take action.
This is how we were born. So if we find ourselves disengaged, not caring, or being apathetic, then something else is going on. Something else is obstructing our potential to engage and act.
It may be that we just don’t care about what we’re doing.
Maybe it doesn’t align with our values or the people we’re doing it with have goals that don’t fit with ours.
It might be in this one moment or it might be regularly, over the long run.
Uncovering what’s going on here is essential if we want to realise our enormous potential.
Because if we don’t care, then we’re underselling others as well as ourselves. And moving through life without caring is just a waste of very precious time.
